Our Story

Red Dirt Safaris was established by Alec & his wife Raven Kleynhans in 2022. Alec is a second generation Professional Hunter who grew up on their game farm in the Limpopo bushveld. He spent his youth observing the craft of hunting and tracking refining it through the years.

Alec started hunting professionally right out of high school and has been hunting throughout South Africa, Mozambique and Zambia over the past 13 years. Alec has been perfecting his art and passion of hunting in South Africa's vast and varied wilderness. His deep understanding of the local terrain, climate, and wildlife allows him to offer a truly unique and authentic hunting experience.

Our concessions span thousands of hectares, featuring diverse habitats, from rugged mountains to lush plains. This pristine environment is home to an incredible array of game, including the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino.
